From the Chair of BSMHD I am so sorry that I couldn’t stay for the closing ceremony. I would have loved to be there to say goodbye properly. I had to return home to take over child care so please excuse me. I wanted to say what a pleasure it has been to meet you all and to be part of helping you to get the most out of this great tradition – European conferences. I said at the beginning of the week that I hoped everyone would engage as scientists – sharing their knowledge and experience with each other. I think this has definitely happened. We have been lucky to have some great presenters and we have had the benefit of all the shared knowledge through your questions, your conversations over coffee, and your ideas for future collaborative work. I always think it is important that we enjoy our work. We spend one third of our lives at work; one half of our waking hours. I would like to thank you all for making this conference an extremely enjoyable part of my work. I hope you have enjoyed it too. I hope that you had a good journey home and look forward to meeting you again. With very best wishes Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Chair of BSMHD
