The Deaf Health Champions Conference will take place on Wednesday 11th March 2015 at Manchester Conference Centre.
The conference will focus on the ground-breaking work of the Deaf Health Champions in the North West and the results of SignHealth’s “Sick Of It” report which was launched in Westminster in March 2014.
The project is a partnership of the UK Council on Deafness, SignHealth, Manchester Deaf Centre, Merseyside Society for Deaf People and Deaf Vision Cumbria. The aim of the project is to empower deaf communities to take control of their own health and to increase positive patient experiences.
This conference is aimed at Professionals working in Healthcare, deaf people, deaf organisations, and all health service users and providers. This event will provide a perfect opportunity for you to find out more about where we are currently and plans for the future. There will be presentations from keynote speakers, an opportunity for you to put forward questions to our panel and real life case studies of patient experiences.
